Well... Halloween is past Turkey Day will soon be upon us and here are some picts... although they never seem to load as like I think they will (the order that is).  So what your seeing here is PEZ, my father and I on Halloween, PEZ's 1st modeling gig, and cell phone shots of my BFA application.  How come my phone takes better pictures than my camera?

Hey I was accepted into the BFA program. Four cereal boxes, three paintings, three letterforms, one still life, one quote, one nameplate, and one 400 hundred word essay. the only pictures that I took were with my cell phone, and will get them posted...  at this rate during Christmas break.

5 minutes later

Asher still entranced with Elmo.
Presley awakened by flash.
Ruby woken by flash pulled in by the little red monster.
Ember who's unaffected by flash photography still sleeping.

Shelly's in the shower but if I post pictures of her birthday suit I'll have to label the blog as "ADULT" not that she would be apposed to that idea at all.

8am

Asher glued to the Tube.
Presley sleeping on arm.
Ruby in co-sleeper
Ember in the middle.

Working on several cereal boxes at as of late for my BFA submission.  This logo is from the box that is the farthest along.  I'll post low res copies of each completed box once they're done.  P.S. they are satire pieces on popular culture so please read and laugh/cry when appropriate.
The girls are getting fairy pictures taken today.  Asher has been doing some crawling but mostly the walrus to get about.  We've been eating a lot of ice cream as of late because we made 6 batches a few weeks ago: Strawberry, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, Chocolate Oreo,  Cookie-dough, and Root-beer.  !!!Yum-O-Lishish!!!  So yes I am 3" wider than usual...   but mostly rounder, it tends to stay in the belly, like I'm about to give birth to 5 quarts of ice-cream.

Up Again

So I've got another painting up in a art show.  Again I submitted two and Bob (the green one shown on this blog) got rejected both times.  It's nice to have work showing publicly, "Nude Contemplating Duchamp's Nude Descending Staircase No. 2" (shown above) is still hanging in the President's/Provost's office (I'm not sure which) at school.

Housey NOT for SALE

This is our cute little house
Someday the trees and the tulips will be ripped away to make way for a shared driveway but that has been two months off for the last eight-teen months so we're not holding our breath.  Oh yes and that big empty lot(s) next door to us should be filled with houses then to so that will be a plus.  If you want to purchase one please contact us because that would hurry things along I'm thinking.
I feel that I must warn you about our two youngest children they're a bit...   well they're the stay up all night loud noise type of youngsters that are common these days as you can tell by their wake up late expressions (see below).

So when is Junie's Party?

Ruby's Birthday is this week and as of todays day we have moved her party four times...   .  Yup.  So maybe (we) will throw some picts of the occasion up on this page once it takes place.   Shelly and the kids are going on a spur of the moment trip to CA.

Up on the Soap Box

One of my favorite books is Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".  But sometimes I can't help but think that John Galt was a bit of a wimp.  He took the easy way out.  He asked a few key people a few logical questions.  (Spoiler Warning) And they all got out of Dodge.  Easy.  I suggest the truly heroic.  Lets try this.  Live off minimum wage.  If you'd like to send a powerful message to the powers that be, spend as if you are only earning minimum wage.  Pay off all of your debts, set aside some food storage, savings, and then dump all of your now disposable income into helping others and promoting the above.  We are still the largest consumer base on the planet. We vote with the democracy of our dollar.  If we purchase cheep crap from China we are saying yes to what is still wrong with China.  If we keep putting gas in our cars we are voting YES raise the price.  We are democracy, we get what we consume, we are what we eat.  We can't blame this on politicians, lawyers or forging governments.  We bought this world and we will have to pay for it.  So I say lets take the path less traveled.  Don't worship the economy with superfluous purchases.  Don't sell yourselves into slavery for credit.  Let it fall.  Let it die.  Move on.  Our fore fathers didn't found this nation on "We the CEO's in order to worship the Economy, and provide for our endless desires..."   No.  it's "We the People in order to form a more perfect Union...".  If we buy it we are saying that we approve.  I urge you to stop approving. By not spending.

In the sink?

It is 8:57 pm here in our town USA, and Shelly's about to wash the baby's in the sink.  At first I though that it was odd timing but the sink is clean and the twins will be up for a while any way.  We just got back from spending the weekend at my folk's place watching General Conference.  We don't have TV and it's easier to not pay attention listening to the radio.  We have a television set for watching video's and DVDs but if we had cable or even an antenna I would spend all day stuck to it and the girl's would think that they needed whatever it is that commercials promote these days.

I though that it would be cute to have Shelly describe a typical day at the Zaugg home... but like I said earlier she's bathing one at the moment (Asher is parked on my lap), and I don't want to wait so you will get the less articulate more dramatic Chad version:

6am After feeding the twins Shelly goes downstairs to the girl's room to wake Chad up for either school (M,W,S) or work (T, Th, F).

7:30am (school) 7:45 (work) Chad leaves the house forgetting in his stupor to take out the trash or start a load of laundry.

7:32am Ruby June wakes Shelly up for 36 toys, 1 sippy cup of warm milk, and a movie from the library.

7:35am Shelly crawls back in bed.

7:36am - 12:37ish pm Shelly is carrying at least one if not two babies, has been in a constant state of: diaper changing, breast feeding, baby burping, and tyring (with limited success) to keep Ruby from breaking 2 dozen eggs on the kitchen floor while Ember is dumping any fluid/ointment she can get her hands on in her hair, eyes, under our sheets, or just down the drain.

12:37ish pm (T, Th, F) Chad comes home for lunch (nice I know), makes himself a sandwich while Shelly diffuses the situation or Shelly make Chad a sandwich while Chad hold 1 or 2 babies, or puts Junie down for a nap.

1:15ish pm (T, Th, F) Chad heads back to work.

1:16ish - on  Ember coaches Ruby more on how to pull ironed shirts off hangers, how to get soap in eyes/hair/clothes/refrigerator/green couch and so on, while Shelly feeds twins with one hand and straightens up after the girls with the other.

At some point after either school or work Chad comes home and crashes to the dry spot on the couch after kicking off shoes and pretending dinner was waiting for him.

Chad remembers that he should have started the laundry, moved the laundry, or at least taken out the trash earlier that day.

5 sec. later - 9ish pm Feeding, burping, meal prep, playing with girls, partial homework.

9ish - 10:37ish  round up girls, potty time, pj's, prayer, warm sippies and kiss mommy goodnight (sometimes this part takes a few trys).

10:37ish-who knows when am/pm: Chad lays in bed with girls while Shelly wrestles the twins to sleep and straightens up a bit.

At this point Shelly may fall asleep on the green couch, I may wake up and come up stairs, Shelly will search the world wide web for the world greatest cloth diapers, Chad will finish up the before mentioned homework, or... add to this blog.

Sometime early am Shelly and or Chad comes to bed.

5 min later Ember crawls into our bed.

Ouch...

So far this is where I'm at with my latest Bob.  It's quite a bit different and I'm not thinking that the heavy line thingy is going to work.  But what then do I do about eye lashes... he needs something there.  Oh well I'll figure it out.  P.S. Sliced my left pointer finger and thumb pretty good today...   to that should I get stitches or not point...  no man-daids in the house so I've got the wounds dressed with Strawberry Shortcake... I obviously have little girls.

Starting out... again

Princess Party & Asherboy
Presley
Asher
Easter Dresses

Hi folks, I just wanted our little family to have a blog, so that everyone can see current pictures of our babies, and know what is going on with us.  I'm trying to con my beautiful wife into up keeping this little thingy, and I will be begging you to participate in Project Bob from time to time, and showing progress shots of my latest paintings...   .
Mostly the kid pictures though.  Like this one of Asherboy flying through the kitchen.

So I will have to figure out how this thing works better but for now this will do.
